“Andy is one of Scotland’s gems and a fantastic tour guide. I have used her services many times and on each occasion she has delivered a top class tour for me. The clients love her; she knows her stuff and is flexible and competent to deal with any problems, issues and changes that may occur. I cannot recommend her high enough.

3 words I would use to describe travelling with Mini Kilt Tours: genuine, fun, enriching
When I decided to travel back to Scotland, I was afraid this trip would turn out like the past trips have. They were fun and exciting yet impersonal. With Andy, I found I was able to connect in a more personal way than I had before. She told us stories you can’t look up on the internet. She showed us places you can’t find in the guide book. She told us intimate details of all the places we visited only someone who lives there would know. I quickly found that this trip was not going to be like the others. Before, I was a passive tourist ticking places of my list. This time, it felt more like a discovery. I really enjoyed travelling with Andy and found that while I was still a tourist, I didn’t have to see the world that way every time I travelled.

Harry Potter specific testimonial
“I have been to the UK once before on a study abroad tour. I had already done the tourist shopping. I was looking for something more this time around. I wanted to get to know the cities a little better and discover a more intimate connection with the places I would be visiting. Andy’s tour was just that. She took us to places we would have never stumbled upon on our own and told stories of the places we visited that made us laugh and our hair stand on end. Her knowledge of the UK’s history is so enriching that while seeing the Harry Potter film sites was exciting in and of itself; getting to know the history made these locations that much more interesting. Her tour helped make the trip really feel more like a discovery rather than a see-and-snap pass-by. I really enjoyed travelling with Andy and found that while I was still a tourist, I didn’t have to see the world that way every time I travelled.”

Andy, the Mini Kilted tour guide is a gal that loves and knows her Scottish history and the lay of that beloved, beautiful, loch filled land. She will keep you alert to the sights ahead, tales of battles and triumphs of years past. She will also keep you entertained with her many “true stories.” If you have ever experienced a tour with Andrea, you will forever want to be on her tours and be her friend.
